The Making of C Future Lab

C Future Lab is where we test these possibilities, it is a unique experimental project which will be a showcase of the C Future City project in Shenzhen, where Art, Technology and Nature meets and affects the way we live. The aim is to create a laboratory for creative minds, where new ideas will be tested, shared and discussed, helping us to define the path to building the Future City.

C Future Lab combines the function of an art gallery, co-working space, garden, discussion forum and a social gathering area. Each space was designed to adapt to the future changing atmosphere and functional needs. The design concept is to create a journey for the visitors, from building up curiosity and anticipation, to getting inspired by the exhibits, and finally providing a platform for discussions.

The project combines the work of a group of the most innovative companies from all over the world. Led by QUAD Studio as the main interior space designer and curator. Working with digital artists teamLab from Japan, landscape consultant Patrick Blanc from France, industrial designer Ross Lovegrove from England, and exhibition specialist Motse from China, QUAD’s role is similar to a movie director, pulling the strings of the different design talents together and to integrating all these creations into a single space.
