QUAD retrospective - Four Years of QUAD
On 19th November, QUAD year 4 mark a very special milestone for our studio. Due to COVID, we weren’t able to create the event we were hoping for where all our friends can celebrate this event together with us. Instead, we held an internal party by linking all our studios using video conference to celebrated our 4th Anniversary.
However, it was great to see and experience many of our friend’s video messages from all over the world which where funny, enlightening and encouraging as the pandemic has greatly affected all of us.
There was also a message from our creative partners in Perth Australia which we hope you will see more collaborative works from in 2022.
Four Year of QUAD
In Four Years of QUAD, we had many items to share including new staff joining us in 2021
The opening of our Chengdu studio situated in the Jinjiang District in the Heart of Chengdu.
In 2021, QUAD studio designed over 11 iconic projects including the winning entry for the NBD Centre International Competition.
We also announce that as well as our Transport Oriented Development in PRC, QUAD studio has also entered the realm of infrastructure with our new project for Hong Shui Kiu Station on the MTR West Rail Line in Hong Kong.

In the realms of interiors, Sean Leung and Kelvin Chu presented 8 of our current interior design projects in Hong Kong, PRC and Dubai
We discussed QUAD onsite projects all over China,
Although COVID has prohibited us from social intervention but, we made the most of publications and social media to keep in touch with our everyone.
2021 mark the launch of our new website showcasing our catalogue of projects from different genres with insights of our designers, our studios and design philosophy.
In 2021 QUAD studio has been on TVB in Hong Kong CCTV in China, out Hong Kong Studio was featured in an AIA commercial and QUAD studio was featured in a number of Publications and awards throughout the year.
We also happy to announce our Landy Liu being awarded as One of 40 under 40 for Architecture for 2021 and we encourage more of our talented staff to enter this award if the future.
Living under COVID
2020 and 2021 has not been easy with strict quarantine measure when entering Mainland China. Our partners spent over 2 months in quarantine. The 14+7 days in quarantine was made easier thanks to the support from our staff in Shenzhen allowing us design and communicate whilst in quarantine.
QUAD travels
After going through quarantine, we always make the most of our time meeting our staff and clients all over Mainland China. From Shenzhen to Shanghai to Changsha to Chengdu, to Yibin, to Beijing from city to city our travels never stop.
2022?
So, what 2022 have install at QUAD studio? Although 2021 was tough on all of us in the design industry, we manage to gain a lot of friends in Mainland China, Middle East and South East Asia.
Our Studios in Shenzhen and Chengdu, we will also explore opportunities with our new sector in infrastructure in Hong Kong and we will closer ties with our clients in Hong Kong and Mainland China to design more and more exciting project for all of us. In a global perspective we will expand our business in Australia, Middle East and Southeast Asia with our creative partner at FHSI. QUAD studio always to explore in pursuance of rethinking all aspects of design, technology, science, and sustainability to create a better future environment for all of us.
