In response to deTour “Design as ONE” RIBA Talk 2022 asks Design Professionals to think about Design as something new and as a regenerative proposition, putting “REPLACE” and “RECLAIM” into debate as the world seeks to combat climate change.

- We spoke about the benefits of “REPLACE” and “RECLAIM” and the both have their merits and there is no right or wrong.
- However, “RECLAIM” do have its issues. With reclaim, we are designing from Form to Program.
- What if the “Form” is not big enough to contain the “Program”? It is a rhetorical question but it is very common on today world where people prefer to live in cities and these cities are getting denser in terms of population.
- In that case, we need to rethink the city, rethink the way we treat trash, the way we power our cities, the way we respond to the Exploding Metropolis.
- Rethink Possibilities
