The C Future City, developed by the Centralcon Group, is a TOD mixed use project. It is one of the largest urban regeneration projects in Shenzhen, located in Shangsha, Futian District. In the documentary, QUAD Founding Partners Wai Tang, Charles Ho, Kelvin Chu shared their experience of the design process of the project, since they have started working on the project 10 years ago. In Dec 2022, the C Future City is officially opened. The much talked about project integrates futuristic design with art, nature, and new technology, is becoming a new iconic destination for the young and creative people in Shenzhen.
During their time in Aedas, the founders have been involved in the project since 2012, leading the project from master planning to architecture design of both Phase 1 and Phase 2. Since the opening of QUAD Studio, they have continued to contribute to the design of various interior space of the project, including the C Future Lab, C Future Office, and the Phase 2 Residential Apartments.
The project combines the work of a group of the most innovative designers from all over the world, including digital artists TeamLab from Japan, botanist Patrick Blanc from France, industrial designer Ross Lovegrove from the UK. The interior design partner Sean Leung of QUAD studio, also shared his unique views on the project, creating a unique design for C Future City.
